OPEN LETTER TO EAGLE LANDING HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION

On June 30, 2010, representatives from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) met with your Board of Directors and conducted an inspection of the Eagle Landing Lake Dam (Simpson Lake).  The TCEQ has prepared an inspection report and recommends action that is consistent with the State of Texas Dam Safety Program.  Since our response to the TCEQ letter is due April 30, 2011 and will require the services of a Licensed Texas Professional Engineer, the Board has requested proposals (RFP) from seven (7) local Engineering Consultants.  In addition to the initial response the Engineers will provide a Hydrologic / Hydraulic Analysis, an Operation and Maintenance (O & M) Plan and an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) all of which must be submitted to the State by January 1, 2012.
