Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

October 9, 2007

On Tuesday, October 9, 2007 there was a regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of

Directors at the Avinger School Cafeteria. Board members in attendance were Trent Gale

Jim Trimble, Glenn Terry, Tom Minor and Jim Byars. Not in attendance was Frank

Galloway.  One guest was in attendance.

Meeting was called to order at 6:40 p.m.

Minutes from the last meeting were not read as they have not been received from Debbie

Dennis and she was not in attendance at this meeting.

Old Business:

Vacancy on the board left by Bob Kenyan resigning.  After two board meetings, posting

the opening on the bulletin board and website and contacting individuals by members,

no one placed there name in nomination, except Steve LeGrow.  Steve LeGrow was

elected by unanimous vote of the board and will serve the remaining term of Bob

Kenyan.

Website

We again discussed the advertising on the ELHA website. The recommendation by the

committee was no commercial advertising be allowed. It was suggested by Jim Trimble

this is placed in writing so there would not be any confusion in the future. This

assignment was given to Jim Byars to write and present at the next meeting.

Trent Gale will now be the contact person for the bulletin board on the website.

Jim Trimble has requested more time in putting together the questionnaire.

New Business:

After some search and probing by Jim Trimble it is almost certain we have a leak in the

dam. There is a pipe leading from the dam on the north side (dry side) that is partial

buried in the mud and could be leaking. Frank Galloway is trying to contact Tommy

Turner to determine if he has any information as to the construction of the dam. Van

Templeton has been hired to dig around the pipe and see if a cutoff value can be located.

Someone indicated that at one time there was an overflow standpipe on the lake side of

the dam, but over time it rusted and disappeared into the lake.  We are seeking anyone

with any knowledge as to the construction of the dam or that has any information

about a cutoff valve.

Tom Minor reports no new activity.

Common Area:

Both docks are complete.

Painting and repairing of all fencing complete.

Glenn Terry to obtain No Fishing signs for bridge (1599) over the lake.

Glenn Terry to purchase new flags for common area.

Community News:

None noted.
