Board of Directors Meeting

A Quorum was established and the meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm.  In attendance were board members George Meriwether, Jim Trimble, Pete Schroeder, Steve Gause, Jim Higgins and Jan Kenyan; absent - Jim Moulton.  Also in attendance, Debbie Dennis – clerk; there were 3 visitors present.

 

The minutes of the previous meeting were distributed and reviewed.

 

Treasurer Report: Read and approved.

 

Committee Reports:

Architectural Committee: 

David Amox – The committee will meet with the homeowner to discuss setback variances.

 

Budget and Finance:  None

 

By-Laws / Policy Committee:  None

 

Security/Neighborhood Watch Committees:

Information was distributed on a concealed handgun class available April 2nd.

 

AVFD/Firewise: None

 

Grounds/Lake Maintenance Committee:

During the recent bad weather the airstrip has been vandalized.  The damage rendered it unsafe for landing and this is affecting current homeowners.

 

Pete Schroeder will spearhead a volunteer group to work around Eagle Landing to help defray expenses.  The first goal will be to repair the runway.

 

Communications Committee: None

Long Range Planning Committee:

Ed Salabor with 4G Custom Technology presented the board with a security plan that could be phased in and added onto in the future.  The plan consisted of two options for purchasing cameras.  The location of the cameras and the quality of the cameras was discussed at great length.  The board will prepare a presentation to distribute to the homeowner at the annual meeting.

 

Special Projects Committee:  

A homeowner expressed concern that the weevils are not working on the milfoil as expected.  This issue will be thoroughly evaluated before more weevils are purchased.

 

Closed Session:

6:50 p.m. A motion was made by Steve Gause and seconded by Pete Schroeder to enter into closed session to discuss pending legal issues; motion carried

 

6:55 p.m. A motion was made by Pete Schroeder and seconded by Steve Gause to re-enter into open session; motion carried.

 

Open Session:

No action taken on closed session.
