Board of Directors Meeting
01-13-2009
In attendance were board members Trent Gale, Frank Galloway, Tom Minor, Jim Byars, and Glenn Terry. Board members not in attendance were Jim Trimble and George Meriwether. There was 1 visitor present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as written. Motion was made by Tom Minor and seconded by Glenn Terry; motion carried.
Old Business:
The Fire station Committee met and refined the specs for the substation. When the specs are finalized, they will be sent out for bids.
Random patrols with City of Avinger police chief have been scheduled.
The bid sheet for the mowing contract was reviewed and approved and will be sent out in February.
New Business:
There is an uprooted tree on a homeowner’s property that is ready to fall. When it falls it will land on power lines. Trent Gale will contact the homeowner about having the tree removed.

Treasurer Report:
Total cash and CD’s as of 12-31-2008 are $91,014. Revenues received through 12-31-2008 are $36,146. Expenditures for the same period are $30,773, resulting in a net income of $5,373. ELHA came in under budget for 2008 by $13,844.
A motion was made by Tom Minor and seconded by Glenn Terry to approve the treasurer’s report; motion carried.
Architectural Committee:
No new projects were submitted.
The contact us signs have been beneficial to the architect committee in identifying current projects.
There was a general discussion on the use of metal buildings in the Eagle Landing Community.

Firewise and Crime Watch:
The Neighborhood Watch is compiling a schedule to patrol the neighborhood to augment the police patrols.
Firewise has been renewed.
