Tuesday, December 7, 2004, there was a regularly scheduled
meeting of the Board of Directors at the Avinger School.
Board members in attendance were Van Templeton, Frank
Galloway, Colleen Elles, Bob Lannerd, Glenn Terry, and
Kristy Carter. Also present were 12 property owners.
Van Templeton called the meeting to order at 6:35p.m.
Minutes
approval-
The minutes from the November 23, 2004 meeting were reviewed
and approved with a few corrections.
Treasurer
Report-
The treasurer’s report was given by Johnnie Terry.
She presented a registry report and a budget report.
The
Budget for 2005 was reviewed, discussed, and approved.
Copies of the new budget will be available at the next
board meeting.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Architectural Reports-
No report.
Fire Wise report-
Letter will be going out to homeowners to gather support
for the Avinger Volunteer Fire Department. There was a
motion made by Bob Lannerd to buy and donate a Portable
Drop Pump for the Avinger Volunteer Fire Department at
a cost of $1180.38. Frank Galloway seconded this motion.
This motion was discussed and all voted in favor of this
motion.
There will be training in January for those interested
in learning to assess homes for fire hazards. If you are
interested in being part of the Firewise team please contact
Trent Gale.
Community Relations Report-
Beaver hunt was scheduled for the night of this board
meeting. If you have problems with beavers please call
Ken Pate, county commissioner.

Areas Report-
No report.
OLD BUSINESS/NEW BUSINESS:
A complaint that was brought to the Board’s attention
was heard, discussed, and handled. In the matter of this
complaint, a motion was made by Glenn Terry that a warning
letter has been issued, terms have been agreed upon, and
if the person does not abide by rules then further action
will take place. Colleen Elles seconded this motion and
all agreed.
A motion was made by Kristy Carter to adjourn; this was
seconded by Bob Lannerd.
Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 18, 2005
at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will be held in the Avinger
School.
